trovano nel pieno centro della localit\u00e0 marina di Manduria \u201cSan Pietro in Bevagna\u201d a soli 100 metri dal mare e a pochi passi da un lido attrezzato.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">San Pietro in Bevagna \u00e8 una localit\u00e0 turistica balneare situata sul litorale jonico\u2013salentino\u00a0pugliese (sulla costa tra Taranto e Gallipoli a soli 12 Km da Manduria), di grande interesse paesaggistico, naturalistico e storico.\u00a0Questo territorio \u00e8 dotato di una meravigliosa costa, fatta di spiagge interminabili\u00a0di sabbia dorata e di un mare incantevole, lo Jonio, conosciuto per la limpidezza e\u00a0brillantezza della sue acque. Il litorale \u00e8 molto ampio e circondato da vegetazione\u00a0profumata della macchia mediterranea, che conferisce al luogo un suggestivo aspetto\u00a0selvaggio. In questo mare sfociano rigagnoli come il \u201cFiume Chidro\u201d, esempio di\u00a0risorgiva carsica naturale, e il \u201cFiume Borraco\u201d, caratterizzati da una rigogliosa\u00a0vegetazione fluviale lungo tutto il percorso. La costa \u00e8 disseminata di magnifiche Riserve\u00a0Naturali riconosciute dalla Direttiva Comunitaria per il loro inestimabile valore\u00a0naturalistico.\u00a0Il tempo qui sembra essersi fermato, lasciando spazio ad una natura incontaminata\u00a0e generosa: gli alberi di leccio del Bosco dei Cuturi, lo specchio d\u2019acqua della riserva\u00a0Naturale Salina dei Monaci che in inverno ospita i fenicotteri, i canneti della zona\u00a0umida della Palude del Conte e i rigogliosi ginepri che circondano le dune costiere.\u00a0Oltre alla valenza naturalistica, le riserve naturali vantano una rilevanza dal\u00a0punto di vista storico-architettonico. Qui si trovano, infatti, la torre costiera di\u00a0Torre Colimena, risalente al XVI secolo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Simbolo della frazione \u00e8 la Chiesa dedicata a San Pietro, che si appoggia alla medievale torre di avvistamento.\u00a0L\u2019origine di San Pietro in Bevagna \u00e8 strettamente legata alla storia dell\u2019apostolo San Pietro.\u00a0La leggenda, infatti, narra che durante un viaggio per mare, colto da una brutta tempesta San Pietro naufrag\u00f2 sulle coste ioniche della localit\u00e0 e, precisamente, proprio dove oggi sorge la bellissima chiesetta al centro del paese.\u00a0Stanco ed assetato, camminando scorse un pozzo di acqua dolce nei pressi del quale si ergeva una statua di un dio pagano (si suppone fosse Zeus). Vista la scultura San Pietro si fece il segno della croce e, a quel gesto, la statua si frantum\u00f2 e cadde ai suoi piedi. La gente che assist\u00e9 al miracolo cominci\u00f2 a convertirsi al cristianesimo. In questo territorio paradisiaco l\u2019occhio del visitatore \u00e8\u00a0colpito da una natura rigogliosa che lo delizia con una miriade di colori, dal blu\u00a0acquamarina del cielo al marrone caldo della terra, fino al verde dei vigneti e\u00a0del bosco Cuturi poco distante dalla citt\u00e0. Manduria conserva ancora le insigni\u00a0mura megalittiche, che con il Fonte di Plinio e la chiesa di San Pietro Mandurino\u00a0costituiscono il Parco Archeologico. Manduria ha oltre al cento storico di notevole\u00a0importanza, anche numerose altre emergenze architettoniche disseminate su tutto\u00a0il territorio. Si caratterizza per la presenza di un patrimonio religioso notevole per\u00a0qualit\u00e0 e quantit\u00e0, che, soprattutto fra il XVI ed il XVIII secolo ha arricchito la\u00a0citt\u00e0 di gran numero di Chiese. La storia di Manduria \u00e8 inoltre ricca di aneddoti e\u00a0leggende, come quelle di valorosi guerrieri come Archidamo e Annibale.\u00a0I dintorni si caratterizzano inoltre per un notevole numero di masserie, che nei secoli\u00a0passati hanno costituito il fulcro dell\u2019economia agro pastorale del Paese. Meritano\u00a0una visita i luoghi di produzione del vino primitivo.\u00a0Manduria conserva tutt\u2019oggi la sua notevole importanza, essendo posta all\u2019epicentro\u00a0delle tre provincie di
